Privacy Policy

This policy describes what the Reseller Ledger browser extension ("the extension") does and does not do with your data. It was written to be accurate, not to be reassuring — if a claim isn't backed by the code, it isn't in here.
1. What this extension does
Reseller Ledger is a local-only tool. You download your own official Transaction Report CSV file from eBay Seller Hub and open it inside this extension. The extension parses that file and shows you per-order net figures, itemized fee breakdowns, payout reconciliation, and monthly summaries.
2. Data we collect
None leaves your device. Specifically:
- The extension makes no network requests. It does not connect to eBay, to us, or to any third party. It has no server.
- It does not connect to, log in to, or access your eBay account. It only reads the CSV file you manually choose to open.
- The CSV contents you import (order numbers, buyer usernames, item titles, amounts, fees, payout data) are processed entirely in your browser and stored only in your browser's local IndexedDB database on your own computer.
- We do not transmit, sell, share, or receive any of this data. We never see it.
3. Permissions
The extension requests a single permission:

It requests no host permissions and injects into no web pages, including eBay's — it cannot read or modify any website you visit.
4. Data retention and deletion
- Your data stays in local browser storage until you delete it.
- The extension provides a "Clear all data" button that permanently removes all imported ledger data from local storage.
- Uninstalling the extension also removes its local data, per your browser's standard behavior.
5. The "export desensitized sample" feature
The extension can, at your explicit request, generate a desensitized copy of your data (buyer names and identifiers replaced by irreversible hashes; amounts optionally perturbed; dates coarsened to the month) as a CSV file saved to your own computer. The extension does not send this file anywhere. If you choose to share it with us for troubleshooting, that is a manual action you take outside the extension, and only the desensitized file — never your raw data — is intended for such sharing.
6. What we do not do
- We do not run any analytics, crash-reporting, or telemetry SDK.
- We do not connect to, read, or modify any web page, including eBay's.
- We do not require an account, login, or eBay API connection of any kind.
- We do not sell, rent, or share data, because the extension does not collect data to sell in the first place — everything described in §2 stays in your own browser's local storage.
7. Children
This extension is a business tool not directed at children.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and the version published on the store listing before the change takes effect.
