Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Reseller Ledger browser extension ("the extension"). By installing or using the extension, you agree to these terms. They're kept in plain language on purpose.
1. Who we are
The extension is built and maintained by the developer of Reseller Ledger ("we", "us"). The extension is an independent, third-party tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay Inc. "eBay" is a trademark of eBay Inc., used here only to describe compatibility with eBay's report format.
2. What you get
Reseller Ledger is a local, on-device tool that parses an eBay Transaction Report CSV file you provide and displays summaries of it: net per order, itemized fee breakdowns, payout reconciliation, and monthly summaries. You may use it for your own bookkeeping and record-keeping.
3. No affiliation with eBay
The extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay Inc. "eBay" and related marks belong to their owners. The extension reads a file you download yourself; it does not access, connect to, or act on your eBay account.
4. Not financial, accounting, or tax advice
The extension organizes and summarizes numbers from your own file. It does not provide accounting, financial, or tax advice, and its output is not a substitute for professional advice or for eBay's own official statements. You are responsible for verifying figures before relying on them.
5. Accuracy and coverage
The extension is built to eBay's published Transaction Report format. eBay may change that format, and unusual or older report variants may not be fully recognized. When the extension cannot interpret part of a file, it flags it rather than guessing. The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Your data
The extension stores data only on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your own backups and for the security of your device.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use the extension only:
- For your own lawful bookkeeping, research, or personal use;
- Without attempting to reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or repackage the extension itself.
8. License grant
Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension for its intended purpose. All rights, title, and interest in the extension — including its code, design, and branding — remain with us. This license does not grant you any rights to eBay's own data, trademarks, or platform, which remain eBay's.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Reseller Ledger is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the extension.
10. Termination
You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the extension at our discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (disclaimers, limitation of liability, and this sentence) do survive it.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the extension changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where reasonable, noted in the extension's release notes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer habitually resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This does not affect any consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
